I grew up thinking…
If you crossed your fingers, your wishes would come true.
If you held your breath & closed your eyes in a tunnel, your wishes came true.
If you prayed at night, your wishes would come true.
If you threw a coin in a fountain, your wishes would come true.
If you blew on a flower & watched the petals fly, your wishes would come true.
If you blew the candles out on your birthday, your wishes would come true.
If you saw a shooting star and closed your eyes, your wishes would come true.
I grew up a dreamer, I grew up with imagination, I grew up thinking that there is hope for everything. & despite the shit that I’ve been put through, and as silly as this sounds…I still wish…and I still hope, because I’m still young, and my life is still ahead of me…& even though nothings came true yet, you can’t give up. Cause when you give up, thats when you know you’ve been beaten…and I was raised to never be a quitter, so I won’t give up dreaming, I won’t give up wishing…and I won’t give up hoping.
